The Pointe du Raz is one of Brittany’s most spectacular landscapes. It’s a short trip from Plogoff and is well worth visiting several times, depending on the light, the weather and the time of day.

When is the best time to go?

Mornings are often quieter. In the evening, the lighting is beautiful and the sunsets can be spectacular. In high season, setting off early helps you enjoy the trails in good conditions.

What should I expect?

Even in summer, take a windproof jacket and a good pair of shoes with you. The weather can change quickly on the headland. Stick to the marked trails to protect the moorland and avoid exposed areas.

Extend the walk

The GR34 trail takes you on to the Baie des Trépassés, the Pointe du Van and several coves around Cap Sizun. Half a day is enough for a first visit, but keen walkers can spend a whole day there.

Stay near the Pointe du Raz

Discover the Avel Dro House at Plogoff.
